- What is the game about?
- House cats slip through a portal and wake on islands, on two paws. In one shared world they gather, craft and trade to start over. Your character begins as a “missing cat” poster.
- Do the cats ever get home?
- That's the question the story is built around. Back home, the owners are still putting up posters.
- Can I choose my cat?
- One of five coats, and a name. More coats and poster details come later.
- Is it an MMO?
- It's online: one shared, persistent world, no PvP. We'll call it an MMO once it holds up with many players.
- What is in the game today?
- The town of Waywood, a forest in three rings and a tutorial island. Gathering, crafting, three tiers of gear, combat techniques, hunting, swimming, a market, a black market and trading between players. Bigger monsters are ready and waiting for later.
- What is the closed alpha?
- The first invite-only tests, in waves, in the browser. Expect placeholder art, rough edges and resets. In return, testers help decide where the game goes.
- How do I get in?
- Sign-ups open soon. Follow the channels on the home page; invites go out in waves.
- Do players really make everything?
- That's the rule: tools, weapons, armor, bags and potions are made and sold by players, and the loot in the forest is only what the black market bought from crafters, signed by its maker. Trading between players already works; the player market comes with the alpha.
- What do testers get?
- A say in what comes next, and a founder's mark for good: the title “First in the Forest”, a badge and an avatar frame. Cosmetic only.
- When does it come out?
- Early Access is planned for 2027. We'll give a date once we can keep it.
- Where can I play?
- In the browser, no install.
- How much will it cost?
- Not decided. What is decided: nothing that affects the economy will ever be sold for real money.
- Is the art made by AI?
- No. The sprites are drawn for this game by hand-written scripts; a few animals come from a free CC0 pack.
- What languages?
- Polish today; English comes before launch.
- Who makes it?
- One developer from Poland.
